Ad Astra Per Aspera
The Kansas state motto is "Ad Astra Per Aspera" - to the stars through difficulties. Right now, our neighborhood is facing difficulty as a result of the decision by the Lenexa City Council has to close Ad Astra Pool - a pool that has been at the heart of our neighborhoods for 30 years.
In the aftermath of the decision, a coalition of Lenexans came together to take action. Simply put, we feel the City Council's decision to close Ad Astra Pool is short-sighted and should be reversed. The Save Ad Astra Pool Coalition is devoted to this effort!
